Background

In the arid environment of Abu Dhabi, where water scarcity is a constant challenge, the Ministry of Presidential Aairs sought a sustainable solution for agricultural water needs. Solution

Akvo introduced a specially designed single-phase AWG system that could generate 300 liters of water per day. This innovative solution harnessed ambient humidity to produce water, bypassing the need for energy-intensive desalination or expensive water imports. The unfiltered water was ideal for agricultural applications, providing a fresh source of hydration for plants and landscapes around government facilities.

The Airports Authority of India, Lakshadweep

The Airports Authority of India or AAI is a statutory body, under the ownership of, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India. It is responsible for creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing civil aviation infrastructure in India.

AAI airport at Lakshadweep was looking for a solution to generate water as there were very scarce source of water hence Akvo installed one 500 LPD unit to provide water for their need.

Vimhans Niyati Hospital, New Delhi

Vidyasagar Institute of Mental Health and Neuro and Allied Sciences is a mental healthcare institution in South Delhi. It was founded in 1987 as a tribute to the Indian psychiatrist Vidya Sagar, Vimhans Nayati is the best hospital in Delhi NCR, offering quality services backed by advanced technology and expertise of the top doctors in India.

The management of Vimhans wanted a solution to provide safe drinking water to the customers & were looking at GREEN technology to ensure their corporate vision & thus Akvo unit of 500 LPD was installed at their facility & its customers are enjoying the Akvo water.

NTPC Netra Noida

NTPC is India’s largest energy conglomerate with roots planted way back in 1975 to accelerate power development in India. As a leading player in the world energy sector, NTPC recognized the potential of cutting edge technology in further improving its services and efficiency. Through its R&D arm NETRA (NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance), NTPC wanted access to green and sustainable products to further its commitment towards society by doing their bit for to fight water scarcity.

They were looking to harness and use new technology to save water wastage while producing drinking water and they sought Akvo’s atmospheric water generator for the same.

Akvo provided & installed one 1000 LPD unit at their technical centre in Noida for the evaluation & usage study.

 Akvo Water from Air Pilot Program – Damoh, MP

Hardua Mangarh, a small village in Damoh faces drought on a regular basis and coupled with depleting ground water available, the local Government has been fighting water crisis for the past few years. With no source of water, providing safe drinking water to the local population has become a challenge. 

On August 2018, the local government sought Akvo’s Air to water technology to test its water from air machines in a pilot program to meet the drinking water demands. Akvo in coordination with the local authorities installed its Akvo 365K machine, a 1000 Liter of water from air per day machine thus ensuring continuous supply of uninterrupted safe drinking water for local population of Hardua Mangarh.

After the completion of the pilot program more Akvo Atmospheric water generators will be installed in strategic locations to fulfil the drinking water demand.

Berhampur, Odisha

Brahmapur, also known as Berhampur is a city on the eastern coastline of Ganjam district of the Indian state of Odisha in East India, The municipality was looking at some solution to provide safe drinking water to people at prominent places like bus / train stations.  

Akvo has deployed the world’s first Air to Water ATM to Berhampur in Odisha with plans of deployment of More units nationwide, where local Civic authorities will be able to provide drinking water to the public without having to provide a source of water, thereby increasing reach and decreasing deployment and infrastructure delays.
